Vote by Mail Instructions
In an effort to ensure a safe, secure, and fair election this November, here are easy, step-by-step instructions on how to complete and return your vote-by-mail ballot by 8:00pm on Election Day, November 2.
Look inside the envelope you receive in the mail for these items:
- The ballot
- An inner envelope with an attached certificate
- A mailing envelope
Completely fill in the oval next to each of your selections in blue or black ink.
Fill in and sign the certificate, keeping it attached to the inner envelope.
Place the official ballot into the certificate envelope.
Then, place the certificate envelope into the mailing envelope. Seal it.
Return your ballot selecting one of the following three ways:
- Mail: It must be postmarked on or before 8:00 p.m. November 2 and be received by your county’s Board of Elections on or before November 8.
- Deliver to Secure Ballot Drop Box: A ballot drop box is a secure, locked structure operated by election officials where voters may deliver their vote-by-mail ballots from the time they receive their ballot until polls close at 8:00pm on Election Day, November 2. There will be at least 10 secure drop box locations throughout each county. All locations are open 24 hours a day until 8:00pm on Election Day. - Deliver In-Person to Board of Elections Office: Deliver it in-person to your county’s Board of Elections Office by 8:00 p.m. on November 2. You can find your County Election Office by clicking here.
